Welcome to my home. I hope that you and your child will feel that this is your home away from home while you are here. I believe that is important for children to feel loved and wanted while in a safe and secure environment.
I plan nutritious snack and meals. I like to play with the children both indoors and out (weather permitting). I enjoy making things and believe that children learn about this world with their hands. It is quite normal to see the children busy at the table making their own play dough, their snack or their goodies with my assistance. I encourage them to be active in circle time, free play, outdoor play, and when they need to have some down time to settle in and observe or pick up a book if they want. Some children enjoy just watching others for a while and that is fine. I let the child lead me in what they are comfortable with, and will guide a child to try new things, whether it be food, or a new skill.
