Our philosophy is that we provide a time of fun, social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth and development of the child as a whole.
Our care includes sharing and conversation time; stories, songs and plays; creative art projects and crafts; games and movement activities; exploration of and learning about nature; exposure to colors, shapes, numbers & letters; and celebration of birthdays and holidays!
Elise and Tony were married young and have one beautiful child who is now 15 months old. Together they own a business outside of the home and run an active and Christian-centered dayhome in NW Calgary inside the home. They are a busy and loving family who extend their care and efforts towards the community to which they belong.
Elise spends her time with the children she cares for with a natural, educational style, born from her own educational background and an intuitive approach that looks to each child in their own developmental stage. She grew up caring for a house full of children – in her childhood, a dayhome was also run from the family home, with occasional additional caretakers to help when neighboring families needed more childcare hours, on the rare occasions when up to 12 children were with her family on a given day!
For Elise this was a wonderful experience, although she has a philosophy that works well for her and her clients: a small city dayhome that offers the same quality and allows for individual attention from the primary caregiver at any given time of the day.
Tony, Elise's husband, and her immediate and extended family and friends encourage and support her in developing her child-centered, Christian qualities, that she offers to families needing child-care. |
