Alda's Childcare Services is a home-base independent In-Home Daycare, and has been in business since 1987.Each family is unique, , we cater to the parents' needs and ideals on how their child should be raised.
We recognize that each child is as different as a snowflake; therefore we encourage the children to develop at their own pace. Independence, manners, and respect for self, others and property are highly encouraged. We also prepare the children for entrance to kindergarten.
Daily, the children are introduced to letters, shapes, colors, and numbers. Story time, I read to the children daily as a group. In turn each child throughout the day will sit with me and read me a story. The child is encouraged to look at the pictures and make up their own story. Circle time, everyday after breakfast we sit in a circle and each child will share an item brought from home. When no item is brought in; the child will either sing a song or tell us a story. Circle time encourages the children to express their thoughts and opinions. For the most part the children just have fun playing with their friends. A walk to local parks and outside play is a daily occurrence. [Weather permitting]

Admission conditions
All children are accepted . We have drop off from Flamborough Centre, Guardian angels is within walking distance.
We have at present three birds that we just adopted. Joey the poodle and Ben the cat have been with us for a long time now.
Joey and Ben stay in their own quarters out of the way of the children, unless the children ask to play with them. Ben the cat is child friendlyas is the Poodle. (Joey will often join us in our walks.)
