The Children's Place Daycare provides families with childcare in an eccentric, nurturing home environment, with low child to adult ratio and affordable rates, but offers the high quality, developmental activities that are fostered in a daycare centre.
My name is Sarah. I am a registered Early Childhood Educator, registered with the College of ECE's. Graduated from Conestoga College in December of 2002. I have been running a home base daycare since 2003.
At "The Children's Place" daycare you are guaranteed proficient childcare for your family. Here you will receive Daily logs informing you on your child's day including toileting, eating, playing areas they had indulged in.
Monthly newsletters and calendars inform parents on weekly themes that the children will be exploring.
Daycare Families have access to our private Facebook page with up to date photos & videos of the children interacting in daycare, also providing extended communication with myself and other daycare parents.
Daily activities include:
-Breakfast, morning snack, Lunch and afternoon snack (abiding by the Canadian food guide)
-Outdoor play (we have a wonderful play structure in our fenced yard, local library, splash park and community centre within 10 minute walk)
-Arts and crafts
-Circle time-including French songs & words
-Nap time/quiet time
-Free play
-Music and movement
-Dramatic play
-Fine motor activities
-Gross motor activities
-Hygiene practice (hand washing, teeth brushing, toileting)
I believe all children are unique individuals that should be recognized, embraced and praised. I offer a loving, stimulating environment that allows children to grow and succeed.
Creating healthy, trusting relationships with the children in my care and establishing respectful partnerships with parents is of most importance to me and my Daycare philosophy.
