My name is Sarah Provo. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator, registered with the College of ECE's, member of the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario. I am also a trained labor and postpartum Doula.
I have been operating our loving home base family daycare since 2003.
The Children's Place Family home daycare provides families with childcare in an intimate, inclusive, nurturing, positive, fun, educational home environment while offering high quality, developmental activities that are offered in a larger commercial childcare centre but at a more affordable rate.
The Children’s Place Family home Daycare is affiliated with a licensed Toronto base not-for-profit agency, which grants parents access to the goverment Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (currently 52% reduced rate)
At The Children's Place Family Home daycare you are guaranteed proficient childcare for your family. Here you will receive Daily logs informing you on your child's day including toileting, eating, playing areas they had indulged in, Monthly newsletters and calendars inform parents on weekly themes that the children will be exploring.
Daycare Families have access to our private Facebook page with photos of the children interacting in daycare, summing up our days. our page also provides communication for daycare family parents with one another.
The Children's Place has annual daycare family celebrations for special occasions such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthdays, field trips with parents, Christmas Parties, Summer BBQ's and Graduation Ceremonies
Daily activities include:
-morning snack, Lunch and afternoon snack
(majority of our food is fresh and Organic, water is filtered)
-Outdoor play; we have a wonderful, engaging play area in our fenced yard beside a huge field and path. Local library, splash park and community centre within 10 minute walk)
-Arts and crafts
-Circle time-including calendar, stories, puppets, English & French songs, learning games
-Nap time/quiet time
-Free play
-Music and movement
-Dramatic play
-Fine motor activities
-Gross motor activities
-Hygiene practice (hand washing-organic soaps, teeth brushing-all natural fluoride-free toothpastes, toileting)
-Sensory, Science, Nature and Discovery
I believe all children are unique individuals that should be recognized, embraced and praised. I offer a loving, stimulating, earthy, environment that allows children to grow and succeed.
Creating healthy, trusting relationships with the children in my care and establishing respectful partnerships with parents is of most importance to me and my caregiving philosophy.

*Full time preferred and will receive priority to vacancies.
* Families (including children) must come in for pre-enrollment visit to become acquainted with myself and the daycare.
