I am a mother of two boys looking to care for your child(ren) in my home beginning in March 2013. Being a mother who has had to put her child in daycare in the past, I know how parents feel trying to find the "right" care for their child. In understanding this, you can be sure that your child(ren) are being well care for through quality, caring, and stimulating childcare as these are essential for child development.
I will be providing care to school age children (for schools close to Saddleridge NE) as well as preschoolers. The dayhome will be open from 7:00am until 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. If for some reason, you require evening or weekend care, please let me know and we can arrange something to suit your schedule.
I offer 2 nutritious meals per day as well as snacks. The meals include breakfast and lunch and two snacks. Breakfast is from 7am until 7:30am. If your child is not at the dayhome in time for breakfast, it is up to you to provide them with breakfast.
These meals and snacks are planned for the week on the Friday before. If your child has allergies to certain foods, it is your responsibility to bring a different food for your child if the planned meal that day is a food in which your child is allergic to. Also, if your child has different dietary needs, please let me know so that we can try to accomodate them as best as possible.
We will have a structured day of different activities which will include preschool learning activities, crafts, stories, make-believe, outdoor activities (walks, going to the park, of course all weather permitting!). Each holiday will be celebrated (for example: easter, halloween, christmas, etc.) as well as your child's birthday.
From time to time, we may go on field trips to the zoo or the library, etc. When this occurs, you will receive notice as to when we are going, what your child will need, etc. Of course, this will all be weather permitting on some activities.

Being a pet lover myself, I have two dogs who love children. My one dog is named Kira and she is a border collie lab x who is a kid at heart herself. She loves playing with children, especially when they throw her toy or play bubbles with her! My other dog is named Wicket and he is a shitzu terrier x who is very affectionate and has no problems with cuddling! If your child is afraid of dogs, my dogs will be put away in a separate area from where your child will be for the day until your child is ready to play with them.
