Welcome!
My daycare encourages children to “learn through play” in a stimulating and loving environment. My facilities include a fully equipped bright main floor playroom, indoor physical activity room, and a fully fenced backyard with outdoor toys and activities.
Children learn best when they are having fun. We enjoy crafts, dressing up, pretend play, circle time, reading, songs, dancing to music, learning our ABCs, numbers and colours. Messy play is always popular and allows children to explore different colours, textures, and "cause and effect". It can include bubbles or ice cubes in coloured water, cornstarch goop, coloured snow in the winter, squishing pudding or dough, painting with our fingers and toes, colourful volcanoes, just to name a few.
This summer we are growing a variety of fruits and vegetables that the children enjoy looking after and then eating freshly picked.
Last year we installed a new Costco cedar premium playground to further give young bodies exercise and help burn up all that amazing energy. The ground around the playground has rubber mulch to help cushion against falls. We have 6 swings (enough for everyone!) between two swing sets, including baby swings.
We enjoy going for walks on a nearby nature trail, to playgrounds, and playgroups including the Ontario Early Years Centre. A walk is a great learning opportunity to discuss nature, observe wild animals and birds, look at caterpillars, bugs and snails, as well as explore puddles, rocks and different types of plants.
I offer nutritious meals and snacks. I have up to date first aid and CPR training, and current police check. I have reasonable rates and provide a discount for siblings. Smoke Free. I have many years of experience with many more years to come. I have taken parenting courses including Triple P. References are available. Receipts are provided.
I am also available to provide occasional weekend childcare at my home as well as emergency overnight care.
