Hillcrest Childcare
Located in a private home in the St. Clair West/Winona Drive area, this is a high quality home child care centre for up to five children only. Advance reservations may be considered on a first come first served basis.
Bright, warm cheerful main floor space - not a basement!
Your childcare provider is a university educated, certified Montessori teacher as well as experienced day care provider.She has completed courses in First Aid and CPR as well as Safe Food Handling. She has also been employed for three years by the City of Toronto as a children's program supervisor, and regularly passed security screening, as has the other adult on site.
The location has been thoroughly upgraded for child safety, and has a spacious fenced-in backyard with a small learning garden as well as a large enclosed front porch play area. We have a library of hundreds of top-rated children's books as well as music to share with your child. Your child will get a real head start on reading here!
The centre has Montessori learning and play items as well as other high quality wooden toys and equipment. The Montessori approach to learning and development is very child-centred and practical as well as very intellectually stimulating.
The home is a smoking and pet free zone.
Your child's daily schedule will include:
o circle time with reading, stories, and music and songs
o arts and crafts, painting and drawing
o creative free play
o exercise time, seasonal activities
o individual attention
o theme based learning and fun activities
Healthy food - breakfast, lunch and two snacks - is included.
Our location is only steps to St Clair West and the TTC, and you can easily drop off by car also.
Fees include all of the above, and receipts are provided. $56 daily for toddlers over 18 months, slightly higher for infants. Full time monthly rates available for toddlers and infants. Occasional and emergency child care also available. Discounted monthly payments for advance electronic fee payments.
I am looking to partner with discerning and pro-active parents looking for a positive, caring and fun learning environment for their toddlers. Potty training can be supported.
This is a quality opportunity for you and your child, but our spaces will remain limited to keep standards high. Our own child will be in this program. We therefore will make sure this a growth and development program for all the children - not merely child-minding or babysitting. Of course, you want the same.
