I have managed a day home business since 2008. The two main reasons for establishing my day home were based on the commitment I have to stay at home and raise my 3 children in their early years and the challenge and satisfaction I receive from working with children. I believe an integral part of a child’s development is supported by the warmth and care they receive from adults in their life. In my day home, I provide a family environment with the stability of a predictable routine that includes activities to promote healthy child development. In my home it is important to me children feel accepted, respected and are listened to and understood. It is important to me that children in my home feel secure and loved and they are treated as individuals.
This is what parents and children can consistently expect while in my home:
Direct supervision of children at all times by myself
A safe and clean environment
Structured and unstructured, age appropriate activities and play
Nutritious meals – breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks each day
Organized and positive arrival times with updates of daily activities
Organized and positive departure times with updates of daily events
Cooperation and partnership working with family needs and requirements
Indoor and outdoor play areas
Neighborhood park visits
