Rainbows & Sunshine Childcare and Learning Centre is a home daycare run by a loving, energetic mother with extensive experience with young children. I am located near Van Kirk and Wanless, in the immediate vicinity of Burnt Elm Public School. I have a newly renovated, professionally finished child care area. Activities include Free Play, Crafts, Games, Educational Preschool Materials, as well as a daily Circle Time including songs and stories. I also provide nutritious snacks and lunches, in a smoke-free home with a large backyard for outdoor play. I have a current police check and First Aid / CPR.
In addition to our preschool activities, I endeavour to teach children in my care basic life skills and values to prepare them not only for Kindergarten, but for the rest of their lives. Children in my care learn how to get along with others by learning the importance of sharing, and how to resolve their conflicts through "nice words" and co-operation. They learn empathy, compassion, and respect for each other and their surroundings. I also nurture their self-esteem by teaching them to think and act independently, and by giving them age-appropriate responsibilities.
