I am an ECE with 20 years experience in Childcare. I have worked as both a Nanny and in Childcare centres.
We have 1 child of our own and he is in grade 2 this year.
Bright Bugs Home Childcare was established in February 2009 as a means to provide quality
Early Childhood Care and Education in a small group setting.
With the knowledge from 20 years of experience I developed my Childcare program based on the theory of Play Based Learning and find that the children in my care flourish under the freedom to openly explore and discover daily.
Our facility is located on the main floor of our bungalow style home, and complies with all the current Ontario Childcare Act Regulations. Bright Bugs follows strict ratios and never has more than 5 Childcare children in attendance on any given day, with a maximum of 2 children under the age of 2 per day.
At Bright Bugs your child will be given the opportunity to play and learn through many different areas of the early learning curriculum.
Each day we explore and discover our weekly themes through such areas as science, creatives, sensory, fine and gross motor play, outside exploration and songs and stories at circle time.
Through our play based program your child will learn to play and have fun but also to share and
co-operate with their peers, make important early social connections, learn about respect, learn to acknowledge their feelings and the feelings of others and finally they will gain a sense of self as they grow and become more independent.

Admission conditions
A meeting of potential clients and caregiver is required prior to enrollment. In this meeting i will have the opportunity to show you around my home and explain how I run my program as well as briefly explain the Contract for Care and Parent Handbook to you. If you choose to enrol your child then a second meeting will occur where I will throughly go over the Contract, Parent Handbook and all applicable forms with the client. At this time as well a deposit which includes a holding fee is due, this deposit is to be paid in cash or by e-transfer at the time of acceptance of the spot.
Part time and full time spaces available
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
