I am offering a truly brilliant childcare service - besides being available f/t and p/t, I am also available in an emergency! If your nanny calls in sick, if you suddenly have a change in your work schedule, or if you simply need an afternoon break, I will be more than happy to accomodate your needs. I am very flexible and ready to adapt to make your life less stressful and more convenient!
I live in a clean, organized townhouse near the lake. It is a residential area with access to a nice open green space and a large school park right across the street. Our backyard is fenced in, featuring a small garden and deck.
My home is already baby-proofed, as I have an 11 month old girl of my own. All our fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are fully functioning, and we have recently had a home inspection which confirmed that everything is up to code.
I am extremely patient and very creative. I love working with children and have taken many courses at Seneca College to enhance my childcaring experiences. I am able to juggle many tasks at once, and I believe strongly in interacting with the children in my care, not simply babysitting them. I am reliable, trustworthy, and I am skilled at drawing out a child's best behaviour. I model proper ettiquette, I do not coerce it!
I have a variety of equipment, technology, and supplies at my disposal - with access to more if a request was made (i.e. computer with internet, DVD player, t.v., camera, many books for all ages, crafts, toys for babies+, playpens, exersaucer, stollers, booster seats etc.). I am willing to assist with homework and I can provide leisurely trips to the library (15 minute walk).
