I provide daycare in my home in Mississauga near the Credit River and Burnhamthorpe. My home is child safe and child friendly. I create a nurturing, creative, fun, educational and loving atmosphere. The playroom is very large and bright. The fenced yard has a patio for riding toys and backs onto a park, with child safe play ground equipment, that includes two baby swings and a toddler sized slide.(See picture above)
My philosophy towards child care is based on the book "Kids Are Worth It", by Barbara Coloroso.
I empower children to learn how to make decisions, to build self-respect, confidence and self-esteem.
I do not provide baby sitting, but rather, my daycare is more like a nursery school. Studies have proven that children learn best through play, in an environment that they feel safe in. I encourage the growth of the whole child, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
We enjoy indoor play, circle time, reading time, music time, age appropriate activities, arts and crafts, outdoor play, nap time and so much more.
Like a nursery school, I include educational elements through play based activities, to encourage your child to be well prepared for their next step into school. They will learn to read, to print, good manners and so much more.
I provide hot and nutrious home made meals and snacks that are peanut-free.
I am a Mom of one son, college educated with my child-safe first aid and a non-smoker. I have been providing day care for the past 15 years and have many happy families who would gladly share their stories of care as references.
I do not take the children in my car.
