Hello new Mom's and Dad's,
My name is Joy and my home day care is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, on a crescent, with parking in the driveway, for easy drop off and pick up.
Your child will thrive in my nurturing, creative, fun, educational, calm and loving nursery school and home environment.
The playroom is large, with lots of natural light. The fenced yard has a play patio for riding toys and the yard backs onto a large, very quiet park, with a toddler slide and baby swings.
My philosophy towards child care is based on the book "Kids Are Worth It", by Barbara Coloroso. A great book, full of helpful tools for parents.
I aim to empower children to build self-respect, confidence and self-esteem.
Research has indicated that the learning and development that occurs during a child’s early years is critical. It can have a major bearing on a person’s later achievements in school, in the workplace and on overall health and well-being throughout a person’s lifetime.
Toddlers younger than two years are known to learn best via hands-on exploration of their physical world.
I encourage the growth of the whole child, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
We have lots of fun with age appropriate indoor activities such as, circle time, story time, music time, arts and crafts, nap time, as well as outdoor play and so much more. Each child has their own personalized basket with art supplies. All new beds as of 2020.
I include educational elements through play based activities, to prepare your child for their next step into school.
I provide hot and nutritious home made meals and snacks that are peanut free. Fresh fruits and vegetables daily, whole grain pastas and breads and NO lunch meats or hot dogs. If required, I will also provide, Vegetarian, Vegan, dairy and gluten free meals.
I am a college graduate and have completed courses on Child-Safe first aid, Healthy Eating, Nutrition and Wellness. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker. I have been providing day care for the past 20 years and have many happy families who would gladly share their stories of care as references.
I have a small, non-shedding dog, but she does not go into the play room.
I do not take the children in my car.
I do not take the children on play dates.
We play in the house, the yard, or the park behind my house.
Smoke-free and PEANUT FREE home.
Pet-free playroom.
T.V. free playroom.
Only green cleaners used.
Child safety locks on exterior doors.
All new children's beds and play mat for 2020.
Peel Regional Police Services, RCMP - criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening - August 2018.
I have liability insurance for my home day care business, in addition to my home owners insurance.
I DO provide receipts for income tax.
I receive payment for all statutory holidays.
Past and current parent references will be provided upon request.
Nights and weekends may be available upon request for an hourly fee. |
