I'm a 36 year old stay at home dad to a four year old boy and a year old daughter. I have a licensed and approved day home through Child Development Dayhomes (780-444-2288).
I provide all home cooked meals and snacks (well some snacks I do buy and in fact don't cook at all).
We have plenty of toys (both indoor and out), books and puzzles. TV in our house gets turned on only for a fun day, on a Friday afternoon or on a really bad weather days to shake the indoor blues.
Our house is on a quiet street, facing a park. The back yard is fully fenced and we have a play house, swing set, and a covered sandbox. In fact whenever possible we tend to spend quite the bit of time outside. As I mentioned above we are facing a park, which also includes a playground (my son loves the place, he'd stay there all day and even night, if he could).
I don't have any formal training yet, other than being a parent for two kids, but I am starting on my Early Childhood Development Lvl 1. For qualification sake, I do occasionally volunteer at my sons playschool and have loads of fun while there. In general, I am a fun loving guy an I can be found playing along with most of the games and/or activities. Getting messy is never a problem in our house as long as the washer still spins.
