Dear parents are you looking for a safe and loving environment for your child? As an experienced childcare provider and mother of a 6 year old, I am available to assist in your childcare needs.
A bit about me, my name is Rosy and I’m a university educated individual who really enjoyed staying home with my daughter for the last few years. Now, as she has left Montessori and is in the first grade i'm realising that this is what I’m meant to do... what I enjoy doing. After being approached by fellow parents to offer my care again, I’ve decided to do just that.
We’re a home that encourages a child’s expression of thought and love a great sense of humour. If your child is a little shy we’ll have them giggling in no time! If they’re having one of those days then they’ll get lots of hugs and loving care to get them through it with ease.
There are never more than 2 children in the home at any time. I like to keep my group very small so the best care and love can be given to my little friends everyday.
Our home is located right here in the Hawthorne Village near the Symposium restaurant (Derry & Holly Ave ) and is child friendly with lots to do even on a rainy day. There are two parks in the area to visit (one with a new splash pad) and lots of activities to keep them learning, engaged and entertained. Be it your child’s first experience away from home or otherwise, we’ll take the time and effort to make sure you know and they feel that they are well taken care of and safely protected.
What we can offer to you and your child:
~ A safe and very clean home
~ There are NO pets and we are NON-smokers
~ My schedule can be adjusted to meet your needs
~ Meals (breakfast, hot lunches, snacks are all provided
( see samples below)
~ Allergies can easily be accommodated.
~ Little ones are provided a comfy & safe place to rest their heads while listening to quiet lullabies
~ Arts & crafts (age appropriate)
~ A wide variety of books from picture to beginners learning to more advanced readers
~ A very child friendly neighbourhood
~ Visits to the park to enjoy the fresh air and activities
~ Rainy day activities ( books, crafts, learning games, we even have the Wii Fit to keep those restless legs moving )
~ We teach respect, the art of sharing and caring for one another.. the basics of please and thank you are everyday essentials in our home
~ We’ll also ensure you have a daily log of your child’s activities with a focus on anything that may concern you (ie., eating, reading, naps etc.,)
~ References are easily available
~ Police background check completed March 2009
Meal ideas we provide for your child ~
Breakfast: Cereal, toast, bagels, waffles, eggs, milk, juice etc.,
Lunch: Pasta, chicken, rice, fish, grilled cheese, soups, stews, hot veggies, potatoes, milk, juice
Snacks: Veggies and dip, fruit, crackers and cheese, yogurt, milk, juice
We love to bake so homemade treats like banana bread and muffins are always ready to snack on and yes, we will stop the ice cream truck for a treat once in a while .. esp if it’s summer time :0)
