My dayhome in Grovenor takes preschool and kindergarten children. I have operated a dayhome for 4 years and am a licensed provider through Southgate Medallion. I have a large yard, a house full of toys, a 6 year old daughter, a golden retriever, 2 guinea pigs, and no television. I have a Level 2 ECD equivalency, clear police and child welfare records as well as current CPR/First Aid. I do not smoke and have references.
I believe children in preschool and kindergarten need the props and opportunity for creative, unstructured playtime outside of school hours. Children learn through play! They also need healthy, hot food, lots of fresh air, and interesting experiences. We take field trips (Zoo, Fort Edmonton, Spray park) and are often registered in an acitivity such as swimming lessons or gymnastics.
I pick up at First Discoveries Preschool, Grovenor Elementary, and Glenora Elementary during the school year. I take part-time and full-time children depending on need. My part-time rate is $35.00 per day, full-time is $475 per month. |
