Description
The reason for me starting Munchkin Daycare is simple; I want to be able to have the time to spend with my daughter when she is young. Emma is an only child. We do a lot of playing together but it is not the same as having kids to learn from and play with. Emma and I would be thrilled to entertain your child during the day. This environment is safe, fun and respectful of everyone’s needs and feelings.
My most recent experience with children is through my last job of 5 years with Goodlife Fitness. As part of the management team my responsibility was to oversee and manage the childminding Departments. Managing the facility, Staff and policies, as well as interacting directly with Parents and their children. Although I loved my job I felt that the hours that I needed to keep was to much of a stress on my little girl, so I decided to call it quits so that I may give my full attention to making her a secure and well adjusted little person. With Emma starting school this year it is very important to me that she will be happy and confident so that she can make friends and interact with other children.
Through my hours at work were often demanding and long, I had comfort in knowing that Emma was being taken care of in a lovely home with other children her age an a great caregiver. That gave me the idea. I want to ensure that your child feels safe, comfortable, and most importantly has tons of fun while you are at work.
The meals that I will provide will be very health conscious. As my background has been fitness related I am very passionate about exercise and healthy living. There will be lots of time for running around in our fenced back yard making sure they will get lots of much needed exercise. TV time will be limited as there are many more exciting things to do with the day. However, Emma’s favourite special treat is to turn the basement into a movie theatre complete with tickets for admit ion and of course popcorn. So we will make the best out of the yucky days when we cannot be outside.
Although I will have a rough schedule for the day I am flexible to be spontaneous and go with the flow. If the children want to do something that they will enjoy…why not?
This will be very exciting for Emma and me to have friends to interact with.
