I am opening a home childcare centre this fall (early September) and am looking for four smiling faces to join the fun!
I am ECE qualified and also possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. I have current First Aid and CPR as well. I have ten years of experience working with children in recreation, swimming, and preschool play programs. I also have experience working in childcare infant, preschool and school-age rooms.
My house is completely smoke free. We do have a chocolate lab/chesapeake bay retriever mix breed dog. However, she will be at doggie daycare and not in the house from 7:30am-3:30pm daily.
For my home-based centre I have dedicated an upstairs room to the children. I will also be using my living room as an additional play area. I have a fenced in backyard and a park just steps away!
I truly believe that children learn through play. There is a need to foster their creativity and allow them to express their ideas and interests in different forms. This being said I will be following an emergent curriculum approach where I will build on ideas that children express interests in.
Rate: $40/day includes 2 healthy snacks and lunch
Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm
Full and Part-time available.
