Pitter Patter is a safe, fun, nurturing environment where the children can enjoy free play along with structured activities. The model followed is positive reinforcement whereby I see the child from their perspective and development level and encourage the child to develop trust, initiative and a healthy sense of autonomy. I follow their lead and allow them to explore and experiment in a quality environment filled with enticing equipment that will allow them to feel capable with every accomplishment.
I have a program tailored to the age of each child. Some activities include:
-Show & tell
-Story time
-Sensory development activities
-Motor development activities
-Singing & dancing
-Sign Language
-Outdoor play and walks
I will provide all organic foods and a non toxic, green play environment. I use green cleaning supplies except when bleach is deemed necessary by the nurseries act. I also try to use recycled papers and materials and we recycle ourselves. Through this the children will be taught about the environment and the importance of recycling and respecting our earth. This is something that is very important to me that I want to continue in our household and also with the children who will be sharing it with us.
I am very caring and will provide the same loving, kind, and patient care as I would want for my own child. Also, I have updated first aid/ CPR and police checks.
The Day care is located in a detached house in a very family friendly neighborhood. We have walking paths, many child outdoor play areas and parks within walking distance. Also, there is a local library close by. Our daycare areas include a main floor large play area and a storytime area on the second floor and the sleep areas will be in the bedrooms.
Admission conditions
Must love pets. We have a cat and a dog who are very friendly but will not be included in daycare activities :)
