Welcome to Carp Cornerstone for Early Learning; a program designed to provide quality home child care and early learning experiences within a warm and nurturing environment.
Program Info. Children will enhance their cognitive/intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative selves through guidance, play and exploration. The program provides experiences for both indoor and outdoor play, quiet and active play, and participation in individual and group activities. Equipment and toys are age appropriate, and designed to develop skills at various stages of development. Toys are accessible and available in sufficient numbers to allow choice and avoid unnecessary competition.
Location: 635 William Mooney in Carp. Approx. 3 km from the 417 Carp exit, and only 3 minutes from Kanata Lakes and Stittsville.
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday to Friday
Space: 761 square feet of indoor play space and an expansive rural outdoor play area.
Ratio: Caregiver to child ratio of 1:6, maximum. 5 "community" children and my son (born March 2009). I will ensure the dynamics are such that quality, safety, and supervision will not be compromised.
Qualifications: Caregiver with formal education and specialized training in Early Childhood Education (Honours) and B.A in Psychology (with Distinction); 12 years experience in early learning and child care; and former Program Supervisor of a non-profit child care centre. First-Aid/CPR, Signing Essential Language, Criminal Reference Check, References Available
