I am a 38 year old mother of two girls(10 year old and 4 year old) Approx. 3 years ago, I decided to quit my job of 15+ years and give home daycare a try. It is by far, the BEST job I have EVER had!!!
I have a police check that is updated yearly. Our home is a smoke and pet free home. My goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, and socially at their own pace.
I offer a variety of activities daily-reading, crafts, board games, singing, dancing, outside fun/play(for example-we love to "puddle jump" on rainy days-it is my belief that a messy kid is a happy kid!!), painting, artwork, colouring, and a variety of educational activities as well.
I give the children in my care opportunities to learn in a family-like setting with a mixed age groups, where they can feel safe and loved, and can begin to build a positive self image. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home. Your child will have the opportunity to gain practice in language, fine motor, large motor and self-help skills.
I understand the needs of parents, being a parent myself, and I try to provide a day care situation that I would want my own children to be a part of if I were still working outside the home.
My girls are the reason I wish to work at home.
