I was an elementary teacher so I have lots of experience with children of different ages. From working with small and large groups of children, of varying ages in many different settings I have built a tremendous repertoire of skills and strategies to support children in their learning and personal growth. From age 10, I have been working with children through babysitting, coaching and teaching.
I believe children learn best with gentle guidance, demonstration, and lots of repetition. I also believe that it is essential to teach children from a young age the importance of an active lifestyle.
The children will be involved in daily activities that consist of music, arts or crafts, story time, games, free play (a variety of toys and materials), outdoor play and adventures. There are plenty of parks in my neighbourhood.
The daycare is provided on the main floor of my home so there is lots of natural light.
