I enjoy being a home childcare provider and have been providing quality childcare for working parents for many years now. It was 21 years ago that I first started providing childcare from my home and I have learned how to care for many different children and different medical conditions such as epilepsy, asthma, food allergies and P.K.U. over the years.
I take my responsibility seriously as I know I am caring for the most important little person in your life. Family childcare provides for children the comfort and experience of belonging to an extended family. I provide a home like setting; therefore I do not follow a strict routine, but I do offer a structured yet flexible schedule. My approach to childcare is child centred and child directed.
I live in a lovely, quiet area in Victoria Harbour with my family where we have resided since 1995. I am not a licensed daycare. I am a private home daycare provider who happens to love kids. I am very reliable, honest and dependable. I am a non-smoker as is my husband. My home is smoke-free and it always will be. The school bus for St. Antoine Daniel school in Victoria Harbour stops at the end of my driveway on school days.
My goal is to provide all children in my care, a safe and happy place where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace. I believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults and property. Outdoor play and free play are all part of growing and learning new skills. the development of strong self -esteem
is also a major goal.
Free play, reading, arts and crafts, music/singing, dancing dramatic play/pretend, puzzles are just some of the activites we will be doing. I love to help children learn their numbers, ABC's and colours. We love to get outside each day that the weather permits and often walk to the park around the corner to play on nice days. I also have a nice large backyard that is surrounded with a privacy fence. The children love to play on the play centre in the backyard and other outdoor toys.
I will provide a healthy and nutritious lunch and 2 snacks each day. I feel nutritious foods are important for growing bodies. The children enjoy a variety of healthy foods including fresh home-made muffins and loaves, and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
I do not have any pets.

Before school care= $5.00 an hour
After school care= $5.00 an hour
Normal day of care (any day under 9 hours)= $30.00
Any day over 9 hours= $30.00 day rate + $5.00 |
