I enjoy being a home childcare provider and have been providing the best care possible to working parents for many years. After I had my first son I started providing childcare from my home, over 20 years ago. Now that my children are grown I have lots of love and tender care and attention to give to your children. I operate my home daycare under the guidelines and supervision of the Ministry of Education, and within the confines of the law. My home daycare has the proper insurance coverage as well.
Making sure the children are always happy and healthy is my goal and the parents know they can trust me with their precious little ones. Some of my strengths are patience, creativity and organization along with a nurturing, caring personality. I provide a home like setting; therefore I do not follow a strict routine, but I do offer a structured yet flexible schedule. I have my CPR and First Aid certification.
My smoke-free home is located in a lovely, quiet area in Victoria Harbour where I have lived with my husband since 1995, and raised our sons. Families who join my daycare can expect loyalty, devotion and the best quality of care possible so that together we may raise healthy, happy, intelligent children.
My goal is to provide all children in my care, a safe and happy place where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace. I believe children learn through play. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults and property. Outdoor play and free play are all part of growing and learning new skills.
Free play, reading, arts and crafts, music/singing, dancing, dramatic play/pretend, puzzles are just some of the activites we will be doing. I love to help children learn their numbers, ABC's and colours. We love to get outside each day that the weather permits and go for walks around the block and play outside. I have a nice large backyard that is surrounded with a privacy fence. The children love to play on the play centre in the backyard and many other outdoor toys. There is plenty of space for the children to play on the main floor of my house as well as a nice, large playroom in my basement.
I will provide a healthy and nutritious lunch and 2 snacks each day. I feel nutritious foods are important for growing bodies. The children enjoy a variety of home-made lunches and healthy foods including a variety of fresh home-made snacks, as well as a variety of fruits and vegetables.
The daily fee for full-time care is $53.00 per day, up to 9 hours in care, for 2024. The daily fee for part-time care, 4 days per week, is $63.00 per day, up to 9 hours in care, in 2024.
References available. Receipts will be given for income tax purposes to all families.
