I am a mother of two and I am running a family oriented home daycare in Katimavik. I have 1 part time spot available in my teacher friendly daycare. Rotating schedules welcome.
I am a former guide and brownie leader, as well as ranger leader. I have spent numerous years as a camp counselor at the provincial girl guide camp. I taught ESL for two years overseas to ages 2 to 16 as well as adult classes at the local city offices. I have been a babysitter and a nanny over the years and have been working at daycare for the past five years. I am a CCPRN member, with a valid criminal records check with First aid and CPR.
I provide receipts. If you would like I can also keep a journal of what we do over the course of our day as well as a food diary.
Quiet time is part of our days and will be adjusted according to age of children and need. An example would be that reading or colouring can be a quiet time activity if naps are not needed.
We have a loving and playful cat who is fantastic with kids.
I provide a non smoking, loving family environment. We love to do seasonal crafts, sing songs, dance to music, we love to read and do yoga as well as play outside and walk in the woods. I try to have the children outside every day when at all possible . Sometimes we bake, and we like to celebrate holidays and birthdays.
I provide nutritious home made meals and snacks and I am able to work around most food intolerance or allergies. I provide two snacks and lunch and can provide breakfast on request.
I am happy to flex my hours to meet the needs of parents.
