Daily Activities:
Although I run a small family home based daycare, we have structured educational activities daily which include: Circle time, story reading, sing-a-long, exercise and sorting by colours, shapes or numbers. We are constantly doing a variety of arts and crafts, puzzles and music based activities. We are conveniently located close to Jane and Bloor and are surrounded by parks, the Humber River and drop in centers. A monthly calendar will be given to you so you know when walks, library trips and other events are planned well in advance.
Menu:
I follow the Canada Food Intake Guide and only serve fruits and vegetables for snack. Lunches are cooked by me and include: Pasta, Soups, Chicken and Veggies, Turkey Wraps, etc. We are a peanut and sugar free environment.
Communication:
As a mother of two I know that it is hard to leave your children with someone else so I try to provide as much feedback as possible so you know how your child's day was. I will keep you informed on their adjustment, development, eating habits and nap times. I provide a monthly newsletter to give information on upcoming events and updates.
Safety:
I am First Aid and CPR trained and we practice fire drills every month through both entrances and exits. We follow Fire Safety Month in October and I do daily safety checks of my home and outdoor play area.
Admission conditions
One Week registration fee is required. We do have a small friendly cat named Yoko.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
