I’m a 30-ish, university educated (UBC) Mom with a 1-year old daughter. I am staying home with her and I would like to look after a second child of a similar age.
As a parent, I believe that leading an active and healthy life and involving my daughter in everyday activities is a great way for her to grow up. If this sounds like your parenting style, but you are having trouble finding daycare that reflects this idea, please read on!
I would like to welcome a child into my home to take part in everyday family activities, just as he or she would do at home with you. In addition to trips to the park, library, rec centre, etc. we’ll do things like go to the grocery store, “cook” together, or do some gardening.
I am Elimination Communication friendly, supportive of breastfeeding, practice many aspects of attachment parenting, and generally believe kids are whole human beings who know what they need and deserve to have this respected.
I live adjacent to Moody Park with a playground, water park, and picnic area. It is easy to access if you commute from Coquitlam or PoCo along Tenth Ave. or the Fraser River on your way to south Burnaby or south Vancouver.
I have a fully fenced yard, a play room, and live walking distance to lots of amenities including the park, library, outdoor pool, grocery store, and produce market.
I am a mature, educated, and English as a first language caregiver. I will be caring for my daughter plus one client in an LNR setting; most LNRs care for their own children plus two clients. I offer a great care ratio and am a high quality caregiver. I am offering something different, and as close to the stay at home experience as your child can get. |
