I am committed to providing a safe environment where children can learn through both play and educational instruction.
I do not have a "home"... I have a daycare centre! when you walk into my house you will see that I am dedicated to providing my daycare children with the comforts of home and the activities of a daycare centre, we are not restricted to one room in the house dedicated to "daycare".
I provide programming for toddlers and up. We go outside each day to play. I take the children on field trips that are tied into our programming (apple orchard, farm visit etc...). I am not a sit and watch provider... I sit on the driveway and chalk, I get in the sand and build castles.
I provide two nutritious snacks per day and a hot homemade lunch. I do not serve hot dogs, kraft dinner, or chicken nuggets. Hot meals are dinner type meals ie: chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots.
About me:
- Mom of two, ages 10 and 12.
- College Graduate
- Personal Support Work Diploma (Nurses Aid)
- online ECE education.
- 10 years on the job. I have never had anyone unhappy with my childcare services.
I am in the unique position of having been on both sides of the fence so to speak! I was an HR Generalist and did the juggle of taking my 6 month old at the time to daycare each day and then off to the office for the day. So, I completely understand the in's and out's of "your" day!
This is the first time I have advertised in any way in 10 years, I've never had an opening until now!
My one piece of advice while looking for childcare... while you do want someone competent, be aware that credentials aren't everything... go with your instincts when you meet the provider and check references.. ask for current and past client references.
Best of luck in your search for the daycare provider that makes you "know" you've found the right one, I know it can be a daunting experience.
