The early years are critical for the healthy development of a child, this is why I chose to open a home daycare in 2010. I am a mother and an Ontario certified teacher with experience teaching K-5. My daycare practices are based on the advancement of social, emotional and intellectual skills. With plenty of time for free play and for discovering the outdoors, the learning never stops. Importance is placed on practical life skills such as care of self, inspired by my passion for Montessori practices. With an emphasis on the French language, the children are exposed to multiple languages; Swedish, French and English through stories, song, poetry and puppetry. Cultural festivals, traditional seasonal festivals and celebrations are celebrated througout the year.
