My name is Lara, and I am a kindergarten teacher - now providing child care in my Lake Bonavista home. I have 5 years of day home experience and thoroughly enjoy my job. I absolutely love having a day home, and I look forward to meeting many new little friends soon.
A little bit about me
I have taught kindergarten for 6 years
We have lived in Bonavista for 1 yr (had a day home since I moved here), before that I was in Panorama Hills (also had a day home there)
As a certified day home with a day home agency, clients can have the peace of mind knowing that the agency provides monthly monitoring, support, and ensures that proper first aid / CPR training is up to date
My own children will be in gr 1 and 3 in September
I provide a loving and caring environment a wonderful place for children to spend their day
As an active and involved day home provider, I enjoy many, many outings with my children (zoo, swimming, indoor gym time at the community centre, skating, and much, much more)
Each of our fun filled days, are followed by a detailed email account of our time together
I enjoy engaging the children in hands on learning activities, unique preschool activities and using my teaching skills to help prepare children for kindergarten
Healthy snacks and meals are included and I have plenty of individual spaces for naps and quiet time in my 5 bedroom home
We spend a lot of time outdoors all year long
Our back yard has a wonderful play structure
The family pet is a loving and gentle schnauzer
