Dear Parents,
I am an Early Childhood Educator with over 10 years experience working with children aged birth to twelve years in licensed daycares. In 2002 I earned my ECE diploma from St. Lawrence College in Kingston. I am trained in First Aid and Infant/Child CPR with AED certification. I am also trained with Food Safety, based on the Ontario Ministry of Health for Food Handler Training Protocol. I have an up to date police check as well as references from previous supervisors and co workers.
I am the mother of two beautiful children, Evan and Jordan. After the birth of my second son, Jordan I made the decision to pursue one of my career dreams of opening my own private daycare. This decision was put into action by adding an addition to our home for the sole use of the daycare. I take pride in the work that I do with children and feel that in my career I have touched many lives in a positive way.
Children are unique individuals who learn through play and socialization. I am committed to providing a safe and energetic setting filled with many age appropriate activities which will allow your child to grow and develop. I will strive to teach your child independence through cooperative play and role modeling. Each day will bring new fun and challenges.
I hope you see my daycare as a blend of a professional on site daycare and a loving family home. I will strive to keep the lines of communication open between us, as caring for children is a partnership fostered by love, patience and understanding. I am confident that together we can achieve what is best for you and most importantly your child.
I have one full time spot available in May as we are sad to say goodbye to one of our little friends who is becoming a big brother!!
I also have one full time opening for September 1st as another one of our little friends will be graduating.
Each day I will aim to follow my daily routine, which is posted on the parent board. It includes; morning snack, free play, arts and crafts, sensory experiences, music and movement, books, gross motor/outdoor play experiences, lunch, nap time, afternoon snack, and circle time. I follow different themes such as Numbers, ABC’s, Farm Animals, Under the Sea and seasonal themes.
I am located in the West end of Kingston on Woodbine Rd and the daycare is open from 7:30am to 5:15pm.
