My program provides a harmonious, safe, nurturing and positive environment that promotes the whole child; physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. It focuses on the premise that children learn through play. My daycare environment is set up to include a variety of developmentally appropriate and accessible materials that encourage and promote learning through play. An optimal learning environment for children is one that is child-centered, flexible and child-led, where emphasis is placed on the experiences of the children rather than on the results of those experiences.
I believe in working in partnership with families and strive to provide an atmosphere where families feel comfortable and are able to communicate openly. My program respects and values the diversity, lifestyles, traditions and heritages of our multicultural community.
I have several years experience working with children in a group daycare environment. I am qualified as an ECE Assistant and have worked with children ages 18 months to 12 years.
Working together we can create a positive atmosphere where each child knows they are loved and will be treated fairly and with respect.
