Start them young — expose your child to the French language at an early age and prepare him/her for a bilingual future!
Because we are a home daycare, the ratio of children in care is small allowing for more attention and interaction between child and provider than would be had at a commercial care centre. We offer children a more intimate setting and a more "homey" environment while providing structured, learning environment.
Home environment: spacious and well-lit home with a lot of room for activities; ample backyard made to entertain children, ample parking space to accommodate the parents’ drop off and pick up. Open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Located on Royal York Road (north of The Queensway). 7:00 am start is available.
Learning environment: French from morning to midday and English for the last 2-3 hours. Activities: reading, puzzles, coloring, finger painting, listening and dancing to music, playing games, outdoor (fenced backyard) play, walk to parks, etc. For children age 3 and up, a more structured learning will be provided (preschool French).
Nutritious snacks and meals will be provided.
Daily Report: Each child will have his/her own daily journal which parents are encouraged to read at pick up time or end of week.
Staff: Staff is bilingual, experienced and first-aid & cpr certified — vetted by The Busy Genie! By September 2010, our staff will be joined by an ECE certified French native speaker from France.
Available spots: 5 full-time spots available –> 1 to 2 children between 12 months to 18 months; 3-4 children between 18 months to 6 years old. Part-time spots available when shared. After school care may be available. PLEASE INQUIRE ABOUT ACTUAL AVAILABILITY. |
