Background:
I love working with children and have been doing so from age 12 to present. I have successfully owned Little Explorer's for five years now. I use my music, movement skills from my years of professional ballet training to enhance the daycare environment with special classes. I have been teaching Sunday school for the past three years. I have CPR Certification as well as police, and CAS check. I am always improving my skills through childcare courses and research.
Program:
Little Explorers offer a fun, loving, learning environment which is inclusive of the ECE program. Every morning we do calendar, letter, number and poem of the week. I centre all learning activities around my weekly theme. We do sport ball, creative movement, music class, swimming lessons (optional) baking, crafts, painting, story time, dress-up, puppet shows, games, indoor ride on toy time, puzzles, fine motor learning centers, theme parties (Halloween, x-mas, Valentines Day etc) and much more . I love and treat the children like they are part of our family which is why a number of families stay in my care for many of years. I work very hard at creating a family environment where all parents get to know one another and become friends. I offer a customer appreciation family barbeque every summer.
Facilities:
I offer a 1200sq foot center with almost every toy you can imagine. I also have an extra large backyard with a 20ft play centre, house, baby slides, water table, and lots of outdoor toys. The kids call my daycare a" Kids Dreamland".
