I have been providing a homey atmosphere with lots of love and patience for children at the earliest age of 3 months Monday to Friday since 1989. Over the years I have cared for children with Special Needs, such as Spina Bifida, Downes Syndrome, Terettes and ADHD.
We have lots of play time, story time, singing, movie time once a week, learning activities such as using flash cards for ABC's, numbers, colours,and shapes, phonics, basic words. The children that will go into kindergarten will be taught how to print their ABC's and numbers to 10. On PD days and vacation times the older children do word searches and unscramble the sentences, puzzles, crafts, reading and board games. We have craft days and do all types of crafts, modification for younger ones using hand over hand , puzzle days, games and out door time weather permitting and children are dressed appropriately. Back yard is fenced and has a large deck.
We focus on learning to share, getting along with our friends, learning to include our friends who might be different from us, using our manners, teaching the children about not talking to strangers, and road safety, etc.
We are on the bus route for the nearby public school, french school and a catholic school is just behind us. No bus to the Catholic school.
We assist with potty training if parents are doing so at home.
Should your child have special requirements we will do our best to accommodate them, for example limb exercise, speech therapy, eye/hand coordination and early language development and special diets.
We will accommodate any food allergies.
Reasonable, weekly and family rates are available. Income Tax receipt issued once a year.
The children are provided with nutritious lunches, snack and milk. Each child has their own wash clothes for clean-up. Nap time children have individual bedding.

Any assistants I may have are graduates from Niagara College; EA-SNS or ECE grads with current CPR. |

A contract is required along with a deposit to a hold space. (non-refundable if space is cancelled)
Our home is smoke-free and peanut free. We have two loveable dogs that are very good with children, but they are not with the children in the daycare centre.
I also house international students who attend Niagara College and are learning English as a second language. They DO NOT assist with the children. |
