We have been providing a homey atmosphere with lots of love and patience for children ages 6 months to 10 years Monday to Friday since 1989. We have lots of play time, story time (children get to share a book with their friends), movie time once a week (children get to share a movie), learning activities such as using flash cards for learning ABC's, numbers, colours,and shapes, phonics, basic words, addition and subtraction. The older children do word searches and unscramble the sentences. We do all types of crafts, modification for younger ones using hand over hand , puzzle days, games and out door time weather permitting and children are dressed appropriately. Back yard is fenced and has a large deck. Monthly calendars are provided with the activities. We have a new theme each month. Occasionally we do science experiments geared to preschool aged children. We focus on learning to share, getting along with our friends, learning to include our friends who might be different from us, using our manners, teaching the children about not talking to strangers, and road safety, etc.
We are on the bus route for the nearby public school, french school and a catholic school is just behind us.
We will assist with potty training if parents are doing so at home.
Should your child have special requirements we will do our best to accommodate them, for example limb exercise, speech therapy, eye/hand coordination and early language development through signing.
Reasonable weekly and family rates are available. Income Tax receipt issued once a year.
The children are provided with nutritious lunches, snack and juice. Each child has their own wash clothes for clean-up. Nap time children have individual bedding.

Contract between parents and daycare required along with a deposit to hold space.
Our home has two lovable dogs so families must be accepting of them. The dogs are very good with children and only with them occasionally.
We also house international students who attend Niagara College and are learning English as a second language. They do not interact with the children as they are at school every day. |
