I believe that quality child care is seen as a critical element of preparing children for school entry and for success later in life. The child’s day-to-day experiences help decide how her/his brain cells will connect to each other. And if the child does not have certain kinds of experiences, some areas of the brain will not make the necessary connections. The brain starts to develop long before your child is born, and it continues to develop quickly through the early years (0 to 6). Children's early experiences make a big difference in their lives. Like a good solid foundation for a house, early brain development is a foundation for your child's growth, health, well-being, behaviour and development later in life including adulthood. So, how do I shape early learning in my daycare? By play, imitation, experimentation, stimulus-response, reinforcement and observation. In addition, it’s important to have emotional and social balance as well. That’s why I believe that the love and care that your child will get in my daycare makes a big difference in his early brain development.
Our family daycare offers specialized service because of the philosophy of childcare. I believe in the importance of observation and documentation of the ordinary moments in children’s lives. Based on the observation I can plan a curriculum and help children develop skills in areas where they are interested in. As an early education professional, I can serve as valuable resource for families concerning most areas of development. I believe in building a strong rapport with families in order better meet developmental and personal needs of children. The indicator of good-quality daycare is the practice of teamwork in observation and program planning. Only based on observation, all children will have experiences and programs designed for their particular capabilities. |
