My name is Pam and I offer structured childcare program to children in my home. I am a registered Early Childhood Educator with First Aid and CPR, criminal reference check(done annually on myself and my husband) and a Food Handler's certificate. I have 11 years of experience working in licensed childcare settings in St. Thomas and London. I provide the same educational oppotunites that your child would recieve at a large licensed facility with all the comforts of home.
We have a huge property in the Lynhurst area of St thomas. There is a 160ft by 75ft section fenced off for the childcare. We have a bike path, sensory bins, climber and swings. We have our veggie garden planted to give us fresh veggies and a science lesson. We are excited to watch the pumpkins grow!! Inside we have a bright and clean playroom with a regular rotation/cleaning of toys. I provide a structured day for the children with a playbased learning approach (Playbased means exploring without "flashcard " like instruction. the instructor carefully picks out toys to assist educationally and actually plays with the kids to teach about phonics, matching, sorting, time, etc). We bake, do science experiments and craft time is offered everyday. We learn about the weather and the environment, recycling, habitats, phonics, numbers, and all the answers to the questions that begin with "why" that little ones always ask.
