I am a mother of twin 18 year old ladies. I have been taking care of children for just over 20 years, both in South Africa and in Canada. I have had the honour of taking care of 3 sets of twins including my own, I have also had a class of 27 three year olds in a Daycare centre. I provide two snacks a day and a balanced, cooked meal at lunchtime - I do not provide breakfast but I don't mind feeding your child breakfast that is brought from home if you are running late. My hours are from 7.30am until 5.30pm and my rate is $30 per child/day (full day) - I do not run a strict program however I do arts and crafts with "my" children and we also have "special" days such as pyjama day, amongst others. We celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas with a bring-and-share potluck and we have lots of fun in our own little "family" setting. My motto is "A little work, A little play, A LOT OF LOVE and that's our day!" :)
Admission conditions
I would love to be able to take care of your child/children however I do have a little dog. Her name is Bella and she is a Multi Shitzu, she's hypo-allergernic so we don't really have allergy problems but if your child is scared of dogs, that will be a problem. She is extremely good with children and the children who are currently in my care love her to bits (a little too much sometimes) :)
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
