PHILOSOPHY
ECO-KIDS Home Child Care offers young children quality care from a certified teacher in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters each child’s own interests, talents, and abilities. ECO-KIDS values each child as a unique human being developing emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially. We believe that it is important to create a relaxed, enjoyable and loving atmosphere where children can develop self-worth, independence and self-discipline, and also feel that learning is fun.

HOLISTIC HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT
To ensure healthy development during a child's first years, ECO-KIDS recognizes the importance of holistic health in an eco-friendly setting. ECO-KIDS is safe, clean, and engaging. We ensure the use of non-toxic materials and toys. In addition to daily outdoor playtime and walks, we also encourage children to explore natural materials and environments. ECO-KIDS offers nutritious and balanced snacks and lunches, mindful of children’s preferences. Meals and snacks will include locally grown, organic, and wholesome ingredients.
HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT
As building blocks for a strong foundation, ECO-KIDS recognizes the importance of emotional, physical, intellectual and social development, abilities that nurture children’s self-esteem and healthy social adjustment. With an awareness of early childhood development, ECO-KIDS adheres to a structured program that includes a variety of child-directed and teacher-directed activities. The teachers act as guides to allow the children to develop at their own pace, thereby developing their own love of learning.
LOW TEACHER - STUDENT RATIO
Our low teacher-child ratio is especially beneficial because it offers your child highly individualized care and engagement. ECO-KIDS ratio will range between 3 - 5 children depending on the ages and maturity of children.
LOCATION - ANNEX NEIGHBOURHOOD
Our location is about a five minute walk west from the Christie Station, and is only a half block up from the new location of the Children’s Storefront.

For Infant & Toddler monthly rates please contact us, the $55 rate listed above is our Pre-School Rate. Part time and half-time is negotiable.
