My name is Jacquie Jette and for the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of staying at home to raise two beautiful children, Melanie Rose (now 13) and James (now 8).
For three of those years, I provided day care to a limited number of children on our street. Now that my children are a bit older, I am ready to welcome your children into my home on Hennessy Crescent (near Valin and Portobello) where I will provide a great place to learn and have fun.
Some activities during our day include free play, stories, songs, crafts, outdoor play, and frequent trips to the local play parks, library and playgroups nearby. I make healthy fresh snacks and meals from scratch.
I have current CPR/First Aid certification, a police clearance and references upon request. Also, I am a member of CCPRN (Child Care Providers Resource Network) and enjoy attending their workshops and their events for the kids. I have been involved with other people’s children for a number of years. I volunteer with my children’s sports teams (who would have thought I’d ever become a hockey trainer?) and I have also been very active on the parent councils of both St. Clare Elementary School and St. Peter’s High School.
