I am a happy, fun loving, energetic woman with loving dedication and over 13 years of UK/Canada nanny and my home run daycare experience. I have been in business since 2005.
I limit my group to 3 children, unless the age range is a mix of some being 2yrs+, then up to 4 maximum for myself. At the moment, I supply care on a part-time basis only on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Fridays we are closed.
I actually don't believe infant to toddler aged children should have a minute by minute schedule, as it is proven to cut into the natural cycle of learning through each experience until the child moves to the next. Learning and developing through interactive play and solitary discovery is much more beneficial, and a structured, institutional style of learning can be introduced at a pre-school stage.
Saying that, here is a list of some of the activities I encourage for their blossoming little minds and bodies :
water play, age-appropriate arts & crafts, gross motor skills (hill climbing, ball play, sliding, tryke riding etc), fine motor skills (blocks, using spoons, chalk/crayon/paint drawing etc) singing, dancing, literacy, listening well, speaking well, enunciation, pronounciation, emotional intelligence encouragement, decision making, safety lessons...
I provide delicious homemade, all natural, whole foods, (casseroles, ratatouille, Mac N' Cheese with creamy bechamel sauce, mild curries etc.).
Dearhearts Daycare has 2 safe, beautiful, large outside spaces and a professional, bright, open-concept, safe indoor space on the entire ground floor, with no stairs and no TV!
We offer parents support through all milestones, including sleep training, separation anxiety, potty training +++
I have many glowing, local references we are happy to share with you. I maintain wonderful relations with our graduates and offer babysitting to all our past and present clients of course!

I have one loving, lovable, small dog which lives with me. She stays upstairs during the day or in kitchen, behind babygates/daycare area. The children actually find her very comforting and exciting to watch her sit in her spot. She is a natural "therapy" dog!
A two-day minimum/week is required for enrolment, or one day only per week at $85/day.
I do not close for personal holidays outside of statutory holidays.
Statutory holidays, the child's holidays, and the child's sick days are all paid days. |
