I have been running a dayhome for the past 8 years. I currently have two PART TIME spaces available, for Modays, Thursdays and Fridays only.
My hours and rates are both flexible.
I have my First Aid and CPR, as well as Calgary Police Services security clearance.
My EXCELLENT references include past and current clients that work for Social Services in the Child Welfare Department.
I offer two meals and two snacks per day, healthy choices only, and allow very limited TV time. We have fun indoors and outdoors, weather permitting, in a fully fenced fun backyard. We sing and play games most of our day, and I offer lots of puzzles and arts and crafts to do. I try to gear our days towards learning the basics (letters, numbers, and colors) through song and rhyme and stories. Napping and quiet times are scheduled after lunch, and we practice good hygene and manners as well. My home is violence free, so that means no violent toys or play allowed, such as guns or wrestling. I try to keep all of the children safe and happy, so they feel nurtured and cared for away from home.
