I currently have one partime opening for 3 day’s a week, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.
I'm a graduate of Algonquin College Early Childhood Education program and former Nursery School teacher. I now operate a legal, independent, home daycare. I have over 25 years experience working in both nursery school and home childcare settings. I offer a structured yet flexible program built on the basic principles of kindness and respect.
My program is a Play Based learning environment with a rich assortment of materials appropriate to your child's age and interest. Our daily routine provides the opportunity for exploration and growth. Children are encouraged to work through and solve the many challenges they encounter throughout their day.
In addition to the standard activities, I try to incorporate a weekly sensory activity and/or science experiment. I believe that learning can take place spontaneously and when it does I make the most of the opportunity by answering the where, when, why and how questions. Even sitting and eating lunch with friends at the table can be an enjoyable learning experience.
Outdoor play is an important part of our day, vital to developing healthy young minds and bodies. Indoor educational activities are tailored to help your child develop emotional, social, cognitive and linguistic skills.
