choosing the right Daycare is extremely important, that's why I would like to give you as much information about me as possible.
What you should know right of the bat:
I have 1 large breed dog. He is a golden retriever/ Sheppard mix and is very well behaved. He will not be in the play or educational area for your child, but will be around when the children are first entering the home. If you are not ok with dogs then this daycare is not for you.
However, please also note that my dog is kept out of the day care area.
My home is centrally located to most of the schools in town such as:
-St Ann's
-James Keeting
-St. Louis
-Burkvale
I have worked for 5+ years with children and adults with disabilities/ mental health. Both within the schools, and as a manager within a group home. I also have been working as an IBI therapist for years with children diagnosed with autism.
So what makes me different from the other daycares?
I have the experience necessary to handle behaviours, to work with a child with special needs, and to create an educational, yet fun daycare setting.
My education:
I have my educational assistant diploma, as well as my behavioural sciences.
What to expect when you send your child to me:
-Early morning during arrivals- relaxed time with general play
-Sing along/ structured play and activities
-Snack
-Depending on weather- Park/ outdoor play
- lunch (following Canada's food guide)
- free play
-Nap time (older children need not nap- just quiet time)
-Snack
- Activity- whether that be playing with play dough, making flubber/ slime/ crafts
- HOME TIME :)
I ensure that your child will be educationally learning throughout the day, and because I worked within the school system, setting them on the right path towards kindergarten
Admission conditions
Child must be within the ages of 4months to 5 years old.
MUST LOVE DOG!-- this is the most important. My dog is very used to children.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
