Hello,
My name is Christine and I am the mother of am 8 month old girl. I am looking to start up a daycare in my home and can start immediately.I live in the Fischer Hallman/Glasgow/Westmount area of Kitchener. I hold a diploma as an Educational Assistant and have 2 years experience working for the Public School Board. I also have 2.5 years experience working as a nanny for 2 children, a boy and a girl. I am CPR certified, have a police check, and can provide references. I have also written a contract which goes over everything you need to know about my daycare. I will provide the contract upon request and would love to hear feedback on it (likes, dislikes, things I could change).
I live in a smoke free home with my husband and daughter. We own 2 cats who live in our basement and will never be on the main floor with the children.
I offer healthy meals, snacks and drinks. Free play, as well as planned activities will be offered throughout the day. Some activities include; reading, crafts, baking, painting, outside time, educational fun (learning numbers and letters), singing songs and just having a good time. We love to sing, dance and just be silly. We often make our own playdough and then have fun with it. My daughter may only be 8 months old, but she is very hands-on and loves to be messy. I would like to take children on outings every once in awhile if I have the parents permission. Outings may include; busy bee, little tot spot, the childrens museum, etc.
A separate room will be set up for nap time, and play pens will be provided. Each child will be given a bin with their name on it to keep their belongings in. I have a change table set up in the playroom for easy access when diapers need to be changed. I am a firm believer of hand washing and cleanliness. All hands will be washed before and after eating, diapering or using the washroom. Toys are sanitized once a week or as needed, same goes for the floor.
I offer reasonable rates and discounts for more than one child in the family.
