Alberta Certified Teacher (Elementary School Generalist and Level III Early Childhood Equivalency) opening a dayhome in Okotoks.
Openings for children of all ages starting January 3, 2011!
My name is Shauna and I am a certified elementary school teacher with 6 years of experience teaching children of all ages and developmental needs. I also have 6 years of additional experience working with the YMCA 3 to 5 year old day camps as well as private childcare experience infant and older.
I am taking a sabbatical from teaching so I can stay home to raise my own son. He will be a year in January, and we would love to welcome some other friends into our lives.
I will provide your little ones with a compassionate, attentive, interactive environment for them to learn, enjoy, and socialize in. I will provide visual, audio, and tactile experiences both structured and unstructured.
I am a firm believer in getting involved with engaging children. Therefore, I will not just be watching over your child I will be playing on the floor with them enjoying whatever activity they are. Our days will include:
· Indoors and outdoor activities
· Interactive Learning Time
· Early Literacy Activities
· Music/Singing/Dancing
· Puzzles and Games
· Arts and Crafts
· Dramatic Play
· Creative Play
· Story Time
· Dress up
· Baking
· Walks
A healthy breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks will be provided. I am approved and regulated with Child Development Dayhomes. I have my childcare first aid, and a police clearance for me and my husband.
