Hello and welcome to Play To Learn homecare. I am an Early Childhood Educator registered in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators as well as a member of the Child Care Providers Resource Network. I have 5 years experience in municipal daycare centres and am also a mother to a 2 year old daughter. I offer a very bright and warm play space, nutritional food for lunch and snacks and developmentally appropriate toys to encourage learning and development. Our day includes special activities, outdoor and indoor play and a circle time with music, stories and poems where concepts like numbers, shapes and colors are introduced.
My philosophy is that children learn best through play and I follow an emergent curriculum based on the children's interests. We have a fenced yard that backs onto a creek with lots of trees and wildlife for the children to enjoy. Our little piece of the country in the city! We try to get out twice a day depending on the weather.
