I am the proud and loving mother of three girls, aged 6 years 1.5 years, and 3 months. I believe the best experience is being a parent but I also have 12 years of experience ranging from tantrums, teething, potty training, to the "I don't need a babysitter" tween. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I can also provide police checks for myself and spouse as well as references upon request.
I have spots available for full or part time care. My home is open 24/7 as I am fully aware of individuals working shift work or afternoons/nights, etc. I have a wide range of facilities, (including bunk beds, a crib, inflatable beds, playpen, high chair, and a bunch of toys), so I am open to a large range of scenarios.
In my home there is a wide selection of indoor and outdoor toys. Inside, we enjoy theme days, singing songs, reading stories, craft time, and much more. The backyard is fenced and there is a play structure, climber, sandbox, picnic table, outdoor toys, and kiddie pool for the kids to play with. My home is within minutes of Brant Avenue PS and St. Patrick's Catholic School. There are also 2 parks, trails, and a splash pad close by.
I strongly believe in play-based learning and the content changes accordingly with age groups. The early years have been proven to be the most important years and you can be assured that your child will be in a safe and secure environment while building their cognitive, social, and motor skills. There is a wide range of daily activities. On a typical day, you and your child can look forward to:
- healthy meals and snacks (schedules provided)
- water, milk, and juice provided
- singing songs
- arts & crafts
- free play
- outside play (weather permitting)
- story time
- assistance with homework or learning numbers/alphabet/etc
My home is smoke-free and also contains pets. I have 2 friendly and gentle dogs who can be contained in another part of my home during the time your child is in my home upon request.
