Firefly Daycare
Firefly Daycare is a brand new child care provider which will open its doors in April of 2011.
I am a mother of a beautiful boy named Benjamin who is currently 9 months old. I was born and raised in Midland and have a university education from Nipissing University where I received my Teaching Certificate. I had been an elementary school teacher for 5 years when I decided that I would like to try something a little different while having the opportunity to stay at home with my son, and open a daycare.
I am First Aid/CPR certified and have a Police clearance check done. My home is a smoke free environment with a fully equipped, brand new play room for your child to learn and grow in. The playroom has a new kitchenette available and a restroom right around the corner. Having fun while learning is something I think should come hand in hand. Your child’s day will consist of; educational activities, arts and crafts, singing/music, story time, free playtime, going for walks, nap time, and getting lots of fresh air while playing within my fenced in backyard, or the playground located around the corner from my home.
I take my job very seriously and understand that it is a difficult task for parents to leave their child with anyone other than themselves. I can assure you that each child will be treated as if they were my own, with respect, love and compassion.
During the day your child will be given a nutritious lunch and snacks, with juice or milk provided. I personally feel that by eating right this sets the mood for a successful day.
I do own a timid cat named Zoey.

Receipts will be given for income tax purposes.
Hours of Operation;
Monday to Friday - 7:30am – 5:00pm, which is considered a full day.
Rates are as follows;
Before school care= $5.00 an hour
After school care= $5.00 an hour
Full Day of care = $30.00

I will provide you with an information package when we meet containing my contract, daily schedule, emergency information sheet, possible menu items, etc. so that I can meet your child's needs to the best of my ability. |
