I am so excited to welcome families into our home while offering my knowledge and experience as an Early Childhood Educator to provide children with a warm, safe, and stimulating environment. It is my belief that children learn through their play experiences. Through play, they develop their 'whole self'; their social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative skills. When curiousity and independence are encouraged, and a variety of hands-on experiences are provided, children will build and develop their self esteem and sense of self worth.
I attended Georgian College in Orillia, Ontario and received my Early Childhood Education Diploma in 2003. I have 10 years of experience working with children ages 0-13 years. I have been an Educational Assistant in public schools, a nanny, and have worked in a couple of great public daycare centres until we welcomed our son in 2010. I have always loved children and truly love working with them each day. I think there is nothing better than to watch little minds explore, learn, and grow.
Our home is located in Guthrie, Ontario, just off Highway 11 at Line 5. We live on a quiet, dead-end street and are surrounded by nature in our nice, large outdoor play area.
I really look forward to getting to know your child and providing them with positive early childhood experiences to help build a strong foundation for their future.
