Hello
My name is Roma and I am a Early childhood educator. I provide quality childcare in my home and I follow the Highscope Curriculum. At sunshine Academy we believe that "Daycare" is not just "Baby sitting", However it is a Early learning program, because we believe that learning begins at birth. My personal belief on early learning is that children learn best through direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events, ideas and we as caregivers are not here to direct them but guide them and support their development. At Sunshine Academy we provide a predictable yet flexible daily routine that will allow children to develop cognitively, physically and emotional. Sunshine Academy will provide a safe, clean and nurturing environment, where your child's needs will be met with care and love. Fresh food will be prepared everyday on sight by a cook, meals are prepared considering the Canadian food guide.
Below is a description of what our daily routine consists of
1. Arrivals and table top activities
2. breakfast , wash ups, diaper change
3. circle time
4. Music time, choice time, Art time
5. outside time
6. Diaper change, wash up.
7. reading time/ creative Activity time
8. Lunch time
9. diaper check, wash up
10. Nap time
11. wake up time, diaper change.
12. snack time, wash up
13. outside time
14. music and circle time, Art time
15. wash up and diaper change
16. choice time and pickup time.
* Choice time refers to free play time
Please note that a second nap time will be added for younger children and in between younger children will experience quite time where they will receive their milk bottles. At the end of the day parents will receive a daily report which proved information on your child's day at Sunshine Academy.
* The staff at sunshine Academy are FIRST AID trained, and have a uptodate Police reference check. References will be available upon request. The house is pet free and smole free
